Promoting inclusivity and gender sensitivity in education, the Gender and Development (GAD) Office, in partnership with the National Service Training Program (NSTP), conducted a webinar titled “Oh, My GAD: A Webinar on Gender and Development and Mainstreaming in the Academe” on March 11, 2023, via Zoom teleconferencing.
The online session aimed to deepen participants’ understanding of gender concepts, equality, and mainstreaming within academic institutions. Faculty members, students, and staff joined the discussion to explore how gender responsiveness can be integrated into teaching, curriculum design, and campus programs.
Resource speakers highlighted the importance of fostering a gender-fair environment where respect, inclusivity, and equal opportunities thrive. The webinar also emphasized the role of educators and students as advocates of gender sensitivity and equity, both within the institution and in the broader community.
