In line with BCI MANCOM Action No. 04-1021-2526, Brokenshire College conducted its DO DAY and Initial Implementation of the 7S Good Housekeeping Program on October 28, 2025, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The event gathered the entire Brokenshire community, the faculty and staff, in a unified effort to uphold discipline, organization, and continuous improvement across all departments and workspaces.
The activity marked the official launch of the institutionโs 7S Good Housekeeping Program, a campus-wide initiative that aims to cultivate efficiency, cleanliness, and harmony in the workplace through the principles of Sort, Systematize, and Sweep. The first three components of the 7S framework.
Faculty and staff from all units actively participated by cleaning, organizing, and decluttering their respective offices and work areas. Before-and-after photos were taken to document progress and serve as references for ongoing improvement. The event not only strengthened teamwork but also reflected Brokenshire Collegeโs commitment to maintaining a disciplined and well-organized environment conducive to productivity and learning.
Certain departments carried on with specific assignments aligned with their operational needs. The General Services Department (GSD) continued their regular maintenance and campus cleanliness efforts; the ASBME Department focused on accreditation preparations and document organization; while the Finance Office and Registrarโs Office designated personnel to handle essential transactions, ensuring the continuity of key services throughout the day.
Students, including PST students, student assistants, college varsity players, and union scholars, also took part in the campus-wide cleanup. Regular college classes were suspended to give way for full participation, except for the School of Medicine, which continued its scheduled examinations.
Participants came prepared with cleaning materials such as empty sacks, PPE, alcohol, and personal snacks, fully embodying the spirit of cooperation and shared responsibility.
The successful implementation of DO DAY reinforced the Brokenshire communityโs collective commitment to stewardship, order, and institutional excellence, guided by this verse:
1 Corinthians 14:40
โLet all things be done decently and in order.โ
