On May 4, 2024, Brokenshire College, through its Research Council, proudly hosted the Interdisciplinarity 5.0 Multidisciplinary Research Conference at its Davao City campus. The event marked a significant milestone in advancing academic collaboration as it brought together scholars, researchers, and professionals from various disciplines to exchange ideas and share insights on contemporary research challenges.
Guided by the theme โBuilding Bridges: Navigating the Landscapes of Interdisciplinary Research,โ the conference emphasized the importance of breaking through traditional disciplinary boundaries to address complex societal issues and promote holistic development. It underscored Brokenshire Collegeโs continuing commitment to fostering dialogue and innovation that transcend academic silos.
The conference provided a dynamic platform for intellectual exchange and the presentation of innovative research projects from different higher education institutions across the Davao Region. Participants were encouraged to explore new perspectives and methods by integrating diverse academic fields, embodying the spirit of collaboration and inclusivity in research.
The event was graced by Dr. Felix C. Chavez, Jr., who served as the Guest Speaker and delivered an inspiring address on the transformative power of interdisciplinary research in driving social progress. Adding depth to the discussions were panel reactors Dr. Ramil Cubelo, Dr. Danilo G. Baradillo, Dr. Ma. Dynah T. Petilona, and Dr. Vimar C. Conmigo, whose expertise and insights enriched the academic dialogue and expanded participantsโ understanding of interdisciplinary approaches.
This milestone initiative was spearheaded by the Brokenshire College Research Council, under the leadership of Mr. Paul Rean Fred D. Quibo-Quibo, MAEd, COAP, the Research Council Chairperson.
