The Brokenshire College NSTP Pharmacy Program successfully conducted an education and awareness campaign on ending the stigma surrounding HIV/AIDS with the theme “Innovative Paths Toward Safer Acts.” The event was held at the BC Amphitheater in partnership with the BC Supreme Student Council’s Crime Prevention Day, which carried the theme “Empowerment and Protection: Building a Safe Future for Women and Children.”

This collaborative activity highlighted the institution’s commitment to health education, safety awareness, and social responsibility, addressing critical issues that affect both individual and community well-being. The NSTP Pharmacy students led discussions that aimed to dispel misconceptions about HIV/AIDS, promote safe practices, and foster empathy and understanding toward individuals affected by the condition.

Through interactive learning sessions and information-sharing activities, participants were encouraged to become advocates of awareness and compassion—empowering them to take part in the movement to eliminate stigma and discrimination in society.

Earlier during the event, a turnover ceremony of cash donations gathered from NSTP students, with a counterpart contribution from Brokenshire College, Inc., was held. The collected funds were handed over to the Gokotano family, fire victims from Lubugan, Toril, whose home was destroyed last March 5, 2025.

The initiative demonstrated the Brokenshire community’s unwavering spirit of compassion, service, and unity, showing that education goes beyond classroom walls—it extends to genuine care and outreach for those in need.

Kudos to the NSTP Pharmacy students, BC Supreme Student Council, and all who took part in making this meaningful activity a success. Truly, through collective effort and shared purpose, we build a safer, healthier, and more compassionate future for all.
