In line with the global observance of World Mental Health Day 2025, the Brokenshire College Psychology Society (BCPS), in partnership with the Brokenshire College Psychological First Aid Task Force (BCPFAST), proudly launched the Green Ribbon Movement on October 10, 2025, at the Brokenshire College Main Gate Lobby.
This meaningful campaign aimed to promote mental health awareness, compassion, and collective support within the Brokenshire community. The activity highlighted the importance of understanding, empathy, and unity in addressing mental health concerns — echoing this year’s call to action for building a world where mental wellness is prioritized and stigma is dismantled.
As part of the celebration, BCPS officers set up booths at the main lobby, where they warmly welcomed students, faculty, and staff by pinning green ribbons — a universal symbol of mental health awareness. Each ribbon represented hope, empathy, and the commitment to break the stigma surrounding mental health conversations.
The Green Ribbon Movement served as a gentle yet powerful reminder that mental health matters every day, not just on World Mental Health Day. It also symbolized the unity of the Brokenshire community in advocating for emotional resilience, self-care, and understanding.
Through initiatives like this, Brokenshire College continues to uphold its mission of fostering holistic growth and mental well-being among its students and employees — reminding everyone that together, we can create a safe and supportive environment where everyone feels seen, heard, and cared for. 💚
