On September 30, 2025, a Preparatory Seminar for the Science Investigatory Project (SIP) was successfully conducted for students from Grades 4 to 10. The activity served as an essential learning opportunity designed to equip learners with the necessary knowledge, strategies, and practical skills in developing their respective investigatory projects.
The seminar emphasized the fundamental role of scientific inquiry, critical thinking, and creativity in addressing real-life issues and challenges. Students were provided with insights on how to effectively conceptualize a research problem, formulate hypotheses, and apply scientific methods in conducting investigations. They were guided as well on the proper way to organize, analyze, and present their findings in a clear and systematic manner.
Through this preparatory session, learners were encouraged to view science not only as an academic requirement but also as a meaningful pursuit of discovery and innovation. The discussions focused on how research projects can foster curiosity, discipline, and a deeper appreciation of science as a vital tool in contributing to societyโs progress.
This initiative aimed to strengthen the studentsโ confidence in undertaking future scientific endeavors as they prepare for their formal participation in science fairs and in their research defenses.
This seminar served as a significant milestone in nurturing young researchers who are capable of translating their creativity, originality and intellect into solutions that can address the needs of their communities and beyond.
