Brokenshire College Educators Join 2025 Regional Teachers’ Assembly on Digital Tools and AI

Faculty members from Brokenshire College’s Teacher Education Program actively participated in the 2025 Regional Teachers’ Assembly held on April 11, 2025, at the Holy Cross College of Davao. This year’s assembly centered on the theme, “Harnessing Digital Tools and AI: Empowering Educators for Innovative and Inclusive Teaching,” emphasizing the transformative role of technology and artificial intelligence in modern education.

The event brought together educators and academic leaders across the region to explore the evolving landscape of teaching and learning in the digital age. Distinguished speakers included Dr. Brenda B. Corpuz, President of the Philippine Association for Teachers and Educators (PAFTE); Dr. Felina P. Espique, Vice President for Academic Affairs; and Prof. Lilibeth R. Lozaga, UIC SHS Academic Coordinator, who each shared valuable insights on integrating digital tools and AI into effective and inclusive pedagogical practices.

Representing Brokenshire College were Dr. Jeahr Inabangan, Mr. Paul Rean Fred D. Quibo-Quibo, MAEd, and Ms. Mercy Ojoylan, MAEd, who joined other educators in discussions and workshops aimed at fostering innovation in the classroom.

The assembly underscored the vital importance of digital competency and AI literacy in empowering educators to adapt to the evolving needs of 21st-century learners—ensuring that education remains both inclusive and forward-thinking in a rapidly changing world.
