In celebration of World Mental Health Awareness Month, the Counseling and Psychological Wellness Center of Brokenshire College organized a special mental health activity with the theme โ€œPrioritizing Studentsโ€™ Mental Health.โ€ The event, held at the Robert Black Amphitheater from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., gathered college students from different programs to raise awareness and strengthen mental health advocacy within the academic community.

Serving as the resource speaker for the activity was Ms. Anelyn C. Carcillar, RPm, LPT, RGC, a registered psychometrician, licensed professional teacher, and registered guidance counselor. Ms. Carcillar shared her expertise on maintaining mental wellness, coping with academic stress, and building emotional resilience among students. Her session provided valuable insights and practical strategies to help learners navigate the pressures of college life while fostering a supportive environment.

The event highlighted the institutionโ€™s ongoing commitment to mental health education and student well-being. Through interactive discussions, reflection sessions, and engaging activities, participants were encouraged to break the stigma surrounding mental health and to seek support when needed.

Brokenshire College continues to advocate for holistic student development, emphasizing that mental wellness is as vital as academic excellence. The Counseling and Psychological Wellness Center remains dedicated to creating safe spaces and initiatives that nurture both the minds and hearts of the Brokenshire community.
