Brokenshire College, Inc. celebrates another achievement as its Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management (BSHM) students secured 3rd Place Overall in the College Category at the 19th Tuna Festival Skills Olympics 2026.
Held on September 4, 2026, at Robinsons Gensan, the competition brought together hospitality management students who showcased their technical skills, creativity, teamwork, and passion for the hospitality industry.
Representing Brokenshire College, the 2nd-Year BSHM students demonstrated their capabilities across various skills competitions, earning notable placements and distinctions.
The team of Julian I. Cajes and Catherine P. Ito secured 1st Runner-Up in Tuna Pasta, while Layne Rachel S. Uy earned 1st Runner-Up in Food Plating โ Main Course. Meanwhile, Layne Rachel S. Uy, Gasa Xresche H. Basallo, and Sittie Saira M. Abdullah placed 2nd Runner-Up in Market Basket.
Other students also proudly represented the College in their respective categories. Gabriel J. Mainopaz competed in Table Napkin Folding, while Lenny Jean A. Lanaja, Anica E. Cagang, Mart Josua G. Coles, and Chermil Laza L. Orquiza showcased their skills in Table Skirting with Centerpiece.
In Food Plating โ Dessert, Genny C. Martinez represented Brokenshire College, while Prince Guian A. Guimalan, Mart Josua G. Coles, and Gabriel J. Mainopaz competed in Grand Flower Arrangement.
Their achievement was made possible through the guidance and support of their dedicated coaches, Ma. Theresa Delo Reyes, Program Chair, and Alecia Agonia, Faculty Member.
More than the awards and rankings, the studentsโ participation reflected the values that BSHM seeks to developโprofessionalism, creativity, confidence, teamwork, and a commitment to excellence. Their performance served as a testament to the hard work and preparation they invested leading up to the competition.
Through their accomplishments, the BSHM students proudly carried the name of Brokenshire College and demonstrated the talent and potential of its future hospitality professionals.
