In a remarkable show of compassion and collaboration, the Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA) Caravan, in partnership with Brokenshire College and Brokenshire Medical Center, successfully hosted a two-day Medical and Dental Mission at the Brokenshire College Amphitheater on September 5–6, 2024, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The event, themed “Free Healthcare for All,” aimed to provide essential medical and dental services to members of the community, especially those with limited access to healthcare. Hundreds of residents benefited from free consultations, checkups, and treatments offered by professional doctors and specialists in various fields such as Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB), Internal Medicine (IM), Dermatology, Ophthalmology, and General Surgery, among others.

Participants also received dental services, basic laboratory tests, and health education to promote wellness and preventive care. The activity not only addressed immediate medical needs but also encouraged the community to prioritize long-term health and well-being.

Through the joint efforts of MinDA, Brokenshire College, and Brokenshire Medical Center, the event embodied the spirit of “Bayanihan” — uniting institutions and individuals in extending care and compassion to those in need. The initiative was warmly welcomed by local residents, who expressed gratitude for the free healthcare opportunities and the quality of service provided.

This medical mission is a testament to Brokenshire College’s continuing commitment to community service and public health advocacy, empowering Mindanaoans to live healthier, happier lives.
