Intramurals 2026 officially commenced with a vibrant and inspiring opening ceremony anchored on the theme โAetherfall: The Becoming of the Ascendants,โ marking the beginning of a week-long celebration of sportsmanship, unity, and school pride.
The event formally opened through the Opening and Welcome Address and the Official Declaration of Intramurals 2026, delivered by the institutionโs esteemed President, Bp. Hamuel G. Tequis, MDiv, alongside the Vice President for Academic Affairs and Student Services, Dr. Felix C. Chavez, Jr. Their messages highlighted the importance of holistic development, camaraderie, and excellenceโvalues that lie at the heart of the Intramurals tradition.
Adding color and energy to the celebration were captivating dance performances by the Likha Dance Troupe and the Kasibulan Dance Troupe. Their powerful and creative presentations set an electrifying tone for the festivities, showcasing the talent, passion, and artistic spirit of the school community.
One of the most anticipated moments of the program was the Lighting of the Cauldron, a symbolic act representing unity, passion, and the rising spirit of every athlete. This was followed by the Parade of Athletes, featuring participants from the Child Development Center to the College level, joined by faculty members, staff, and administratorsโan embodiment of solidarity across all sectors of the institution.
