The Psychology Society of Brokenshire College proudly launched “Kakampeer,” a counseling and mental health awareness program led by Psychology students committed to promoting emotional well-being within the Brokenshire community.
The initiative aims to raise awareness about mental health, provide peer support, and create a safe space where students can share their thoughts, feelings, and challenges without fear of judgment. Through “Kakampeer,” Psychology students serve as trained peer supporters who listen, guide, and connect their fellow students to appropriate mental health resources when needed.
By fostering open conversations about emotional wellness, the program underscores Brokenshire College’s mission of nurturing not only academic excellence but also holistic development. It emphasizes that mental health is just as important as physical health, and that seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness.
The “Kakampeer” program also reflects the core values of compassion, understanding, and community — values that the Psychology Society continues to uphold in its efforts to make a positive impact both within and beyond the campus.
As the slogan suggests, “You are not alone there’s always a Kakampeer who cares.
