Empowering Change: Community Extension Services Program of Brokenshire College Champions Women's Rights and Gender Equality
As we welcome March 2026, the Community Extension Services (CES) program reaffirms its unwavering commitment to celebrating International Women’s Month, centered on the theme “WE for Gender Equality and Inclusive Society.” This month is not merely a call to action; it is a rallying cry for our institution—a passionate declaration of our dedication to creating an environment where women's empowerment and rights are fervently upheld and advocated.
In alignment with our mission, CES is devoted to fostering social transformation through responsive, inclusive, and sustainable programs that directly support marginalized communities. Grounded in our Christian values of service and compassion, we integrate academic knowledge with the community's real needs, striving to build a just and equitable society where women can thrive.
We recognize that the pursuit of gender equality is not just a historical struggle but an ongoing journey that requires the collective effort of our entire community. We stand firmly in solidarity with women, advocating for their rightful place across all spheres of life while dismantling barriers related to ethnicity, background, or circumstance. CES proudly champions justice, honoring significant legislative measures such as Republic Act 9262—the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004—and the Magna Carta for Women, as well as other landmark legislation aimed at supporting and protecting women. These laws exemplify the relentless efforts of women’s organizations dedicated to combating abuse and promoting justice.
This Women’s Month, we reaffirm our steadfast commitment to cultivating an environment where equal opportunities are not mere aspirations but tangible realities for all. We are dedicated to protecting the rights and dignity of every individual and invite our community to engage in transformative dialogues, participate in empowering activities, and support initiatives that pave the way for gender equality.
